In light of current circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our auction scheduled for April 4th 2020 as we believe this is in the best interests of all our vendors and staff. The sales planned following that auction are still scheduled to take place. The welfare of our clients and staff remains our priority and we will endeavour to keep everyone updated as much as possible during this unprecedented time. We had already consigned over 350 lots for the next auction from fine Victorian jewellery to contemporary furniture and collectibles. Our recent auction included a good private collection of GB and World stamps, the highlight being a GB Windsor album that fetched £3,800 inc commissions. The sale also included a first edition Winnie the Pooh that fetched £1100 inc commissions, a rare flintlock pistol by Durs Egg that sold for £1,100 including commissions and two prints by John Piper that each sold for over £700inc. Highlights from past recent sales include an 1887 Queen Victoria £5 Gold coin that sold for £2,100 inc commissions, an Asprey silver mounted spirit barrel that sold for £1150 inc, a pair of Chinese ginger jars that sold at £2,675 inc commissions and an interesting collection of autographs that fetched £875 inc commissions.
