We hope everyone has been keeping well at this time. Following Government guidelines, we closed the saleroom and office on 23rd March but we are pleased to be able to announce our next auction will take place on June 27th. The auction will be on our Easylive Auctions platform as usual and we will be able to open for public viewing by appointment only in the week before the auction. We will continue to follow Government guidelines and adhere to all social distancing measures to ensure that the health and safety of our clients and staff is maintained. We have been approached by many many people over the past 2 months about consigning items and although we have already got a sale almost ready we will be able to accept more lots by appointment only. So please do contact us to arrange to drop lots off. The final deadline for this auction will be June 18th. Our recent auction included a good private collection of GB and World stamps, the highlight being a GB Windsor album that fetched £3,800 inc commissions. The sale also included a first edition Winnie the Pooh that fetched £1100 inc commissions, a rare flintlock pistol by Durs Egg that sold for £1,100 including commissions and two prints by John Piper that each sold for over £700inc. Highlights from past recent sales include an 1887 Queen Victoria £5 Gold coin that sold for £2,100 inc commissions, an Asprey silver mounted spirit barrel that sold for £1150 inc, a pair of Chinese ginger jars that sold at £2,675 inc commissions and an interesting collection of autographs that fetched £875 inc commissions.
