Following a strong end to the year, we are now consigning items for our January 2024 auction. Highlights from November included a private collection of clockwork cars, including a CIJ Alfa Romeo P2 that sold for £4,700inc and a Silver Bullet that sold for £2,400inc. Other strong prices included an 18ct gold elephant bracelet selling for £2500inc, a Victorian credenza selling for £780 inc and a collection of silver cigarette cases selling for over £1,000inc. The January auction will include a strong section of antique firearms, guns, air rifles and accessories. Our recent auctions have seen strong prices across all categories of sale with recent highlights including a Mortimer Menpes watercolour selling for nearly £7,000inc commission, a Swiss singing bird automaton music box that fetched £2,000 inc commissions, an Augustus John watercolour selling for £3,400inc, a Liberty & Co silver and enamel vase that was sold on behalf of Julia's House Hospice that fetched £1,400 inclusive of commission, a collection of Piedfort proof silver coins that sold for £2,000 inc of commissions and a gent's Omega wristwatch that fetched £1800inc. Following strong year of auctions, we are finding there is still a high demand for jewellery, silver and collectibles at the moment, with strong prices being achieved at auction.
